We collect minimal information required to provide our research services:

• Account Data: Email address for authentication purposes.
• Analysis History: The tickers you search for and the resulting AI-generated research notes.
• Local Storage: Currently, MoatScan uses browser local storage to persist your sessions and history.
• Billing Information: When you subscribe or purchase credits, our payment processor (Stripe) collects and processes your payment details. We receive only limited billing metadata (e.g. subscription status, a customer reference, and amount) — never your full card number.

Your data is used exclusively to:

• Maintain your personal dashboard of analyzed companies.
• Improve the quality of our qualitative research frameworks.
• Secure your access to the platform.

3. Third-Party Services

MoatScan utilizes the Google Gemini API to perform synthesis of market data. No personally identifiable information (PII) is sent to these models; only the stock ticker and relevant financial keywords are processed.

For payments, MoatScan uses Stripe as its payment processor. When you subscribe or buy credits, your payment information is collected and processed by Stripe under its own privacy policy; we receive only limited billing metadata, not your full card details.

4. Data Retention

Your analysis history is retained as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and associated data at any time through your profile settings.

5. Changes to This Policy

MoatScan reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
