1. No Financial Advice

MoatScan is a qualitative research tool and informational platform only. We do not provide financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. The "Moat Scores" and ratings generated by our AI models are subjective interpretations based on publicly available data and do not represent a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MoatScan, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site.

3. Use License

Permission is granted to use MoatScan for personal, non-commercial research purposes. You may not:

  • Modify or copy the proprietary analysis frameworks.
  • Use the materials for any commercial purpose or public display.
  • Attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on the site.
  • Remove any copyright or other proprietary notations.

4. Accuracy of Materials

The materials appearing on MoatScan could include technical, typographical, or photographic errors. While we use advanced AI models grounded in search data, MoatScan does not warrant that any of the materials on its website are accurate, complete, or current.

5. Credits & Top-Ups

MoatScan AI is free to use, with no paid plans or subscriptions. Optional one-time credit top-ups are available for users who want to generate more fresh analyses. Package prices are shown on the Credits page of your account and may change with notice.

  • Credits. Generating a fresh analysis uses credits (currently 1 credit per analysis). Each account receives a free monthly allowance of credits that resets at the start of each calendar month and does not roll over. Purchased credits are added to your Permanent balance and do not expire. Credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and are redeemable only for analyses on MoatScan AI.
  • What a top-up pays for. A top-up pays for the AI processing and data costs of generating analyses. It does not buy investment advice, recommendations, signals, or access to any regulated service. All analyses are generated by AI, may contain errors, and are provided for research and educational purposes only (see Section 1).
  • Acceptance before purchase. Before each top-up you must confirm that you understand and accept the above. We keep a record of that confirmation.
  • Payment processing. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your full card details, and your purchase is also subject to Stripe's terms.
  • Usage limits. The monthly credit allowance, package prices and any other usage limits may change at any time.

6. Refunds

Credit purchases are non-refundable, and we do not refund unused credits, except where a refund is required by applicable law.

7. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall MoatScan or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use MoatScan, even if MoatScan has been notified of the possibility of such damage.

8. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that location.

9. Changes to Terms

MoatScan reserves the right to revise these Terms of Use at any time without notice. By continuing to use MoatScan, you agree to be bound by the updated terms.
